What is Folia?
Folia is the Greek word for nest.
(φωλιά, pronounced fo-LYAH)
A nest is where a family comes together. Parents build it, the little ones are looked after in it, and everyone returns to it at the end of the day. It’s small, warm and busy, and it works because everyone does their part.
That’s what the app is for. Family life is full of coming and going: school runs, lessons, pickups, grandparents helping, a nanny covering Thursdays. Folia is the nest that holds all of it together. Every person has a place in it, every day is laid out, and everyone knows who is doing what.
Why Folia?

I’m a dad, and I was the one always asking.
“Where is he today? Who’s picking him up? What time does it start?”
My wife had the answers every time. But they lived in messages, in phone calls, in “I’ll tell you later.” The same questions came up every week, and every week she had to stop what she was doing to answer them. It wasn’t a big problem, but it was constant, and it was wearing us both down.
So I built Folia. One calm place where our son’s week lives: what, where, when, and who’s handling it. I check the app instead of asking. She doesn’t have to repeat herself. We both stay on track.
It made things easier for us. And I’d be happy if it made your life easier too.
